At Outreachist, we believe in building trust between buyers and sellers. Our escrow system ensures that payments are held securely until both parties are satisfied with the transaction. This refund policy outlines how we protect both buyers and sellers in the event of disputes or service issues.

Our Escrow Protection System

Every transaction on Outreachist is protected by our secure escrow system, designed to ensure fair outcomes for all parties:

  • Payment is held securely from the moment of purchase
  • Funds are only released to the seller after successful delivery
  • Buyers have time to review the delivery and report any issues
  • Refunds are processed automatically if conditions are met

When You Are Eligible for a Refund

You may be eligible for a full or partial refund in the following situations:

Service Not Delivered

If the seller fails to deliver the ordered service within the agreed timeframe and does not respond to communications, you are entitled to a full refund.

Service Not as Described

If the delivered service significantly differs from the listing description (e.g., website metrics, follower counts, or content quality are substantially lower than advertised), you may request a refund.

Violation of Terms or Quality Standards

  • Guest post or content published on a different website than specified
  • Link marked as "nofollow" when "dofollow" was promised
  • Published content removed by seller without buyer consent
  • Content contains spam, malware, or violates platform policies

Technical Issues

If technical problems on our platform prevent the seller from delivering the service or the buyer from receiving it, and the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe.

Mutual Agreement

If both buyer and seller agree to cancel the order and issue a refund at any stage of the transaction.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be granted in the following circumstances:

  • Change of mind after the service has been delivered as described
  • Minor fluctuations in website metrics (within 10% variance is acceptable)
  • Disagreement about content quality when seller provided reasonable revisions
  • Natural changes in search engine rankings or social media metrics after service delivery
  • Buyer provided incorrect or incomplete information that affected service delivery
  • Refund request made after funds have been released to seller (typically 7-14 days after delivery confirmation)
  • Services that were successfully delivered but did not achieve expected results (e.g., traffic, conversions)
  • Buyer violation of platform policies or fraudulent behavior

Service-Specific Refund Policies

Publisher Services (Guest Posts, Links, Banners)

  • Refunds available if content is not published within agreed timeframe
  • Full refund if published link is removed within 30 days (unless buyer requested removal)
  • Partial refunds may be considered if link attributes differ from listing (e.g., nofollow vs. dofollow)
  • Website metrics must be verified within 48 hours of delivery for refund eligibility
  • No refunds for content rejected due to buyer's own content guidelines not matching listing

Influencer Services (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter/X)

  • Refunds available if content is not posted within agreed timeframe
  • Full refund if influencer account metrics are found to be significantly inflated by bots or fake followers (>20% discrepancy)
  • Partial refunds may be considered if engagement rates are significantly lower than advertised (>50% difference)
  • No refunds based on performance metrics (views, clicks, conversions) as these are not guaranteed

Freelancer Services (Writing, Design, SEO, etc.)

  • Refunds available if deliverables are not provided as described in the service listing
  • Sellers must provide reasonable number of revisions as stated in their listing
  • No refunds if buyer rejects work beyond the agreed number of revisions without valid quality concerns
  • Subjective preferences (e.g., "I don't like the writing style") are not valid refund reasons unless work fails to meet professional standards

How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund, follow these steps:

Contact the Seller

Use our platform messaging system to communicate your concerns directly to the seller. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication.

Recommended: 48 hours

Open a Dispute

If the seller does not respond or you cannot reach an agreement, click "Open Dispute" on the order page. You will need to provide:

  • Detailed explanation of the issue
  • Evidence (screenshots, links, communications)
  • What resolution you are seeking (full/partial refund)
  • Timeline of events

Dispute must be opened before funds are released

Seller Response Period

The seller has 48 hours to respond to your dispute with their side of the story and any supporting evidence.

Platform Review

Our support team will review all evidence from both parties. We will consider:

  • Service listing description vs. actual delivery
  • Platform communication records
  • Evidence provided by both parties
  • Compliance with platform policies

Review completed within 3-5 business days

Resolution

Based on our review, we will issue one of the following decisions:

  • Full refund to buyer + order cancelled
  • Partial refund + order marked as completed
  • Seller given time to fix issues (dispute paused)
  • No refund issued + funds released to seller

Refund Processing Times

Approved refunds are processed within 2-3 business days
Funds are returned to your original payment method
Bank processing may take an additional 5-10 business days
You will receive email confirmation when refund is issued

Note: Cryptocurrency refunds are processed within 24 hours but blockchain confirmation times vary.

Platform Fees and Refunds

  • Buyer commission (5%) is fully refunded if the order is cancelled
  • Seller commission (10%) is NOT refunded if the refund is due to seller fault
  • Payment processing fees are non-refundable (charged by third-party providers)
  • If refund is due to buyer mistake or change of mind, platform may deduct administrative fees

Buyer Responsibilities

  • Read service descriptions carefully before ordering
  • Provide accurate information and requirements to the seller
  • Respond promptly to seller communications
  • Review deliverables within the specified timeframe
  • Raise disputes professionally with clear evidence

Seller Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate service descriptions and metrics
  • Deliver services within the agreed timeframe
  • Respond to buyer questions and concerns promptly
  • Provide proof of delivery (screenshots, links, reports)
  • Address disputes professionally and provide evidence

Tips to Avoid Refund Situations

  • 💬 Communicate clearly: Use the messaging system to ask questions and clarify requirements before ordering
  • 📊 Check metrics: Verify website/social media stats before ordering using third-party tools
  • ⏰ Set realistic expectations: Understand that results (traffic, rankings) are not guaranteed
  • 📝 Document everything: Keep records of communications, agreements, and deliverables
  • 🔍 Read reviews: Check seller ratings and previous buyer feedback
  • ⚡ Act quickly: Report issues as soon as they arise, not after funds are released

Fraud Prevention

We actively monitor for fraudulent refund requests. The following actions may result in account suspension:

  • Filing multiple false refund claims
  • Accepting delivery then claiming non-delivery
  • Requesting refund after successful delivery to avoid payment
  • Providing false evidence in disputes
  • Collaborating with others to manipulate the refund system
